Five policemen die as mobile van overturns in Balochistan’s Lasbela – M Haris

 

• Accident occurred due to a tyre burst.

• Two dead policemen hailed from Bela and two from Othal.

At least five policemen died and two injured in a devastating incident near Dubai Masjid in Balochistan’s Lasbela district, police said on Monday.

The incident took place when a police mobile van belonging to the squad of SSP Lasbela overturned after its tyre burst as the vehicle.

SSP Lasbela Naveed Alam confirmed the accident, saying the police van was en route to Othal from Dariji when it met with a fatal accident.

The bodies of the deceased and the injured personnel were swiftly transported to DHQ Hospital Othal.

Among the casualties, two policemen hailed from Bela, while two were from Othal.

Hospital authorities lamented the loss of lives, confirming that five policemen succumbed to their injuries while two others are currently receiving medical treatment.
