Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Education Minister Meena Khan Afridi has refuted allegations that he was accused of “cheating” in the Bachelor of Laws examination.

His clarification comes after a summon issued, by the Controller of Examination University of Peshawar to Afridi earlier this year, went viral on social media.

The notice directed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader to appear before the Examination Discipline Committee (EDC) of the university on January 30, 2024, and defend the charges of use of “unfair means” during the aforementioned examination.

Speaking about the notice, the KP minister said he appeared before the committee on January 30 and was cleared of charges by the university committee.

“Disorder does not mean that I was caught copying,” said Meena Khan while referring to the allegations.

He added that the notice was issued to him in a bid to bar him from contesting the February 8 general elections.
