KP relishes cooler temperatures as monsoon showers sweep through – M Haris

PESHAWAR:

The monsoon season has commenced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, providing much-needed relief from the intense heat with various areas experiencing light to heavy rainfalll that has cooled the region.

The Meteorological Department confirmed the onset of monsoon rains in various plains across the province.

Notable rainfall was recorded in Mardan, Charsadda, Swabi, and Nowshera, with both light showers and heavy rainfall.

The recent rainfall and overcast skies in Peshawar have led to a noticeable decrease in temperatures across the provincial capital and other regions. Last night’s gusty winds and cloud cover further contributed to a cooler morning today.

At 5 AM, the temperature in Peshawar was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius.
