When will the monsoon rains hit Karachi? – M Haris

The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s Early Warning System has warned residents of Karachi and other parts of Sindh to prepare for potential thunderstorms, strong winds, and lightning expected from Monday.

The city is expected to receive rain from July 8 to July 10.

The monsoon winds sweeping into the region could trigger rainfall across various locations, including Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Dadu, and Jacobabad.

With the monsoon’s arrival, most of the province will continue to endure hot and humid weather. However, coastal areas like Karachi are forecasted to receive isolated showers.

Temperatures are expected to range between 37 to 39 degrees Celsius. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions against the sudden change in weather.
